Andrew Petaroudas
I help men navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, complicated relationships, painful losses, neurodivergence (ADHD), OCD, and more. I also help couples and families improve their communication and strengthen their commitments to each other.
Prior to becoming a Registered Psychotherapist, I served as a Psycho-Spiritual Clinician in healthcare for 13 years, and prior to that, I spent two years as a military Chaplain. In both roles, I’ve had the privilege of offering psycho-spiritual and emotional support to individuals from a wide range of lived experiences, ethnicities, cultures, and faith traditions.
I work with adults, couples, and families (18+), and utilize a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Logotherapy, Existential Therapy, and Gottman Method.
Now, I support people from all walks of life with a compassionate approach that considers the health of the mind, body, and spirit. I strive to understand and empathize within a safe and nonjudgmental space. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship, clients may gain greater self-awareness, develop a clearer understanding of how they perceive their circumstances, and ultimately, find empowering inner strength to manage challenges and move toward their goals.
More than just my work
I used to play hockey and still enjoy the competitiveness of sports and the commitment of athletes. I also love travelling and have explored countries in South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
One of my favourite quotes:
“Once we truly know that life is difficult—once we truly understand and accept it—then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.”
– M. Scott Peck
I invite you to book a 20-minute consultation with me to see how I can best support you.
